Finish - yellow- alex feinstein

It is now 747 on Thursday and I finally can use technology. Although I used technology during my 24 hours I as a whole felt that I refrained from using technology when I did not have to. I did not use my phone or TV. I did not access my laptop either due to the lack of homework for the day. These days I feel it is impossible to not use technology, I also realized I am very dependent on technology and I could not stand not watching tv, using my phone or using my laptop. I woke up and wanted to turn on the tv because it is my normal routine for when I wake up. I think its sad that one(and im not the only one) can be so dependent on technology. I now understand why elders complain about the easy living that comes with technology. Life would seem dificult without the technology we have these days. That is good and bad. Good due to the fact that life is easier and in a sense(personal assumption) better than it would have been in the 20th century, however, if a technological problem occurs we as a whole could be in a lot of trouble. So many people these days are dependent on technology its unhealthy. 10 year olds are owning phones and using them as toys and not as a communication source. One could look at our generation as genius or lazy, it is all in the eye of the beholder.

Wednesday November 12, 2008 at 735 am I started my no technology for 24 hours.
Its hard to not use technology. I used my clock next to my bed to check the time for my class.
I contacted my parents the day before that I will not be using my phone, and I had them ship over money before I began this project. I had all cash on me. I went to class and I unwillingly had to use technology in my math class however, when I did not have to use technology I did refrain from it. I then slept until 3, I had my roommate wake me up so I don't have to use an alarm. I then ate which involved technology such as a meal plan swipe and a soda machine. I then went to the fraternity house where I refrained from using any technology, even my cell phone. I could not stand not having technology so by 8 I was at home studying for my test on Thursday. I did use a light to read however that was a necessity. During the whole day I felt alone and desperate, no matter what I had to use technology
